Frayler Academy was established by James Winthrop Frayne II, with the able assistance and guidance of his father, Matthew Wheeler. 

Adopted by Matthew and Madeliene Grace Wheeler (nee Hart), at the age of fifteen, Dr. Frayne is credentialed with doctorate of Psychology from prestigious Columbia University.  To fulfill his dream of operating a year-round boys school for school-age boys who found themselves without a strong parent role-model, Matthew Wheeler and Jim Frayne established the Frayler Foundation. 

Frayler Academy is funded through bona fide charitable contributions and the interest and investments of the Frayler Foundation.  Frayler Academy is named for Jim’s father - Winthrop Frayne and Matthew Wheeler, combining their last names to form Frayler.

One of the goals of Frayler Academy is to promote a life-long love of reading.  The webmaster is an avid reader and reads something almost every day.  Enjoying an eclectic range of reading material you may find recommended reading of mysteries, romance, popular fiction, classic, and even fan fic.  The reading material range is vast, including everything from the Wall Street Journal to Harry Potter!
